IISc has created the Times Education Ranking in the Top 100

The Indian Institute of Science was started in 1909. At that time, General and Applied Chemistry and Electrical Technology Courses were started in the institute. But now there are more than 40 Depotments in the Institute.

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore Times Higher Education World Reputation Ranking has managed to make it to the Top 100 of 2018. In the top 100 ranking, IISc is India's only single institute. IISc got place in 91 out of 100 in this ranking. In the ranking, American University Harvard got top position.

This is the first time since 2011 when any institute in India has found place in this ranking. Ranking editorial director Phil Betty said, "This ranking has been prepared on the basis of a survey of 10 thousand senior academics."
