As the work for the construction of metro stations is gaining ground in Hyderabad, government officials are trying to make things easier for the commuters. After introducing grocery stores inside the stations, the government has come up with a brilliant environment-friendly idea of starting self-driving e-cars which can be available from the metro stations in the city.
As of now, the city of pearls has started the service with Miyapur metro station, with around 25 electric cars stationed.
AFFORDABLE, CONVENIENT RIDES
According to a news report published in the Times of India, the service, being provided by self-drive mobility platform Zoomcar, will help facilitate the travel of Metro commuters looking to complete their last mile journey affordably with the convenience of self-drive vehicles, said officials.
The rental charges for the 25 Mahindra e2oPlus cars start at Rs 8.50 per km.
