Submit suggestions till July 20: HRD Ministry extends deadline for stakeholders on scrapping UGC with HECI READ LATER HECI to replace UGC: MHRD extends date for draft bill feedback till July 20 Recently at a press conference, Prakash Javadekar, MHRD Union Minister had extended the deadline of the draft bill proposed to scrap  University Grant Commission (UGC).  Earlier, the last date to submit any comment by the stakeholders was July 7, 2018, but the deadline now has been postponed till July 20, 2018. On June 27, MHRD has announced that UGC will soon be scrapped off and will be replaced by  Higher Education Commission of India (HECI)  by repealing the  UGC Act, 1951.
